The care level calculator, protected-status check, benefits calculator, template letters and deadline calculator run entirely in your browser. Your entries are not transmitted to us and are not stored.
This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit, the server stores technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested, browser) in log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable operation). The server log files are available to us from the hosting provider for the last six weeks; older log files are no longer made available to us.
We do not use cookies for advertising or statistics and do not embed external fonts, videos or tracking services. The “larger text” setting and the call list under “Find home care” are only saved locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us.
We count how often pages are visited and tools (e.g. the care level calculator) are used. For visits from outside the site we also evaluate the entry page, the name of the website you came from (e.g. google.com, without search terms or the full address), the device type (phone, tablet or computer, derived from the browser identifier) and, where present, a campaign tag in the link. We also count which targets on the website are clicked (e.g. menu item, footer, link, button, PDF or, only as the name of the website, an external link), how far a page is scrolled (scroll depth in steps of 25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent) and how far the calculators are used (started, result shown, page left without a result), each together with the language of the page and the device type. No texts, entries or individual visits are stored, and the counts are not linked to one another. Visits by the operators while logged in to the administration area are not counted. Only daily totals are stored, without IP addresses, without cookies and without recognising visitors. What you enter in the calculators is not transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (improving the service). The totals are deleted after 13 months.
A technically necessary session cookie is set for logging in to the administration area of this website. This only concerns the operators, not visitors. After a successful login we also set a marker cookie for up to two hours so that the operators’ own page views are not counted in the statistics; it contains only an expiry time and a checksum, no personal or session data. Visitors never receive these cookies.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.
Where we base processing on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected.
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of your personal data that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
